Job Description
As the Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service while focusing on accurate and timely invoicing for our customers. This remote position ensures all payments are received within defined terms and involves collaboration across all levels of the organization to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
• Generate and deliver accurate and timely invoices to assigned customers.
• Address billing questions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Validate customer contracts and ensure proper invoice procedures.
• Manage open accounts receivables to ensure payments are received within terms.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to provide solutions and support.
• Collaborate with field teams and management to complete tasks efficiently.
• Act as a resource for other functions within LADMA Traffic Control.
• Provide training and support as needed.
• Build and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with customers.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable/Billing experience preferred.
• Experience with pay applications, lien waivers, and contract management is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a proactive approach.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with an assertive, outgoing personality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting software like Sage, Great Plains, or Salesforce is a plus.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote work.
Additional Information
Work Hours:
• Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (flexibility for 8-5 business hours as needed).
Work Environment:
• Fully remote position.
• 40-hour work week.
• Occasional video calls and online collaboration with team members.
Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate: $24.00 – $31.00/hour.
