LADMA: Protecting Communities and Managing Crowds Beyond the Worksite
When clients trust LADMA to secure their utility and road infrastructure projects or manage pedestrian and crowd safety, they’re gaining more than a traffic control partner—they’re teaming up with a team of dedicated individuals committed to safety anywhere, anytime.
“Our team members are natural protectors who take their responsibility for community and event safety seriously. Our culture empowers people to step up in safety-critical situations, whether on or off the clock.”
From stepping in to support local events to responding to unexpected emergencies, LADMA’s team consistently demonstrates a commitment to keeping communities and gatherings safe.
Rapid Response for Community Events
When a local charity run faced last-minute traffic control issues, LADMA’s team in Baltimore sprang into action to ensure the event could proceed safely. Coordinating with event organizers, they developed a traffic control plan, managed pedestrian flow, and deployed resources within hours.
“This was a great opportunity to show how much we care about the communities we serve,” said a LADMA team lead. “We’re proud to help make events like this safe and successful.”
Ensuring Pedestrian Safety
At a large outdoor festival in Washington, D.C., LADMA provided comprehensive crowd management services, ensuring smooth pedestrian flow through busy intersections and walkways. From setting up temporary barriers to directing foot traffic, the team ensured attendees could enjoy the event without safety concerns.
“Crowd management is about more than guiding people—it’s about anticipating risks and keeping everyone secure,” said a LADMA operations supervisor.
Stopping a Fire in Its Tracks
While traveling to a worksite in Maryland, a LADMA crew noticed flames spreading from a roadside ditch toward a nearby wooded area. Acting quickly, they called emergency services and used fire extinguishers from their company truck to control the fire until local responders arrived.
“Our team’s quick thinking prevented significant damage and ensured the safety of the surrounding community,” said Viktor Schultz.
Preventing a Worksite Explosion
At a paving project in Northern Virginia, a propane tank caught fire, threatening to explode. LADMA protectors immediately used extinguishers to put out the fire before the situation escalated.
“This is just one example of how our team’s training and vigilance extend beyond traffic control,” said a LADMA operations manager. “They’re prepared to act in any emergency.”
Everyday Kindness and Safety
While returning from a job site, a LADMA crew in Delaware encountered a driver in distress with a young child in the car. The team quickly secured the vehicle, called 911, and stayed with the family until help arrived.
Another instance in Annapolis saw a LADMA protector assist an elderly pedestrian safely across a busy work zone. A passing motorist later wrote to commend the act, saying, “You should be proud to have someone like this on your team.”
